Emergency in which the rupture of a blood vessel causes bleeding in the brain.

High blood pressure and injuries are among the main causes. Anticoagulants can also increase the risk.

Symptoms may vary depending on the location of the brain hemorrhage, but may include numbness or weakness on one side of the face, and difficulty speaking or walking.

Cerebral hemorrhage needs emergency treatment. Generally, it consists of administering medications and following up in the intensive care unit. In some cases, surgery may be necessary to relieve pressure around the brain.
